Notes for everyone

  1. It is acceptable (and expected) that leaders periodically ask their subordinates to help them carry out some of their responsibilities. The leader, however, should still be doing a sizeable portion of their own work and not giving all of their work to others.
  2. Just because a leader has a responsibility to maintain certain wiki pages, this does not mean that others should refrain from contributing to those pages.

Project Leader[edit]

Roots has held this position since June 2004.

This position can also be referred to as the benevolent dictator for life (BDFL). More commonly, the team refers to the holder of this position as simply "dictator". This is the highest leadership position in the team and it comes with a great deal of responsibility. Because the project lead has so many responsibilities, many of them are shared with other team leaders.

Responsibilities[edit]

  1. Guide the team to achieving major team goals
  2. Make the final decision on key issues that do not have a clear majority vote
