Bill O'Reilly, hard at work.
This isn't really ... that funny, after a while. :|

No, it's still hilarious. ;)

Nice dude :)

I saw the following on the gettext FAQ. I laughed my ass off :D
“Woe32” denotes the Windows 32-bit operating systems for x86: Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista and Windows 95/98/ME. Microsoft uses the term “Win32” to denote these; this is a psychological trick in order to make everyone believe that these OSes are a “win” for the user. However, for most users and developers, they are a source of woes, which is why I call them “Woe32”.

Help wanted:

20-30 henchmen needed for moderately-sized supervillain organisation with large expansion potential (fortresses built into geological structures, corruption of government officials, possible genesis of 'nemesis' vigilante). Electrical theme.

Applicants must be willing to learn new skills, including but not limited to operation of specialised 'lightning guns'. Applicants will also be required to wear specialised uniform when at work (functional rubber suits with my logo on front), except in cases where deception is required (posing as hostages in order to ambush vigilantes, etc).

Desired (but not necessarily required) in applicants:

-interesting deformations/obsessions/powers(?) giving rise to interesting nicknames (e.g. Claws, Pyro, Buzzsaw, and similar)
-unwavering loyalty
-being a corruptible government official
-ability to work as part of a close-knit team (unless interesting obsession is of the 'lone wolf' variety)
-grudge against any well-known vigilante
-flexible moral code

Equal opportunies employer. Both henchmen and femmes fatales absolutely welcome.

Great promotion opportunities - right-hand-man position constantly being unexpectedly opened. Would look good on any future supervillain resume/CV.

Send an email with details of any prior henchman work, or details of what is driving you to join the ranks of a supervillain organisation. Will reply to all serious applicants. Hope to hear from you, and with luck, welcome you into a rewarding and promising career!

- Jacque (The Zapper) Zerapi

* Location: London, but planned worldwide expansion
* Compensation: £20,000pa starting salary, with added commissions based around success of supervillain operations. Contracts negotiable depending on applicant's personal skills/powers.
* Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
* Please, no phone calls about this job!
* Please do not contact job poster about other services, products or commercial interests.

A joke my boss told me at work last week.

A physicist, a mechanical engineer, and a software engineer are driving downhill in a vehicle together when suddenly they lose control and are unable to speed up or slow down the vehicle. When they reach the bottom they regain control and bring the car to a stop. Each goes about trying to figure out why they lost control of the car. The physicist begins calculating the mass of the vehicle + occupants, the coefficient of friction between the tires and the road, and builds a force body diagram but is unable to explain the scenario. The mechanical engineer opens the hood, begins tearing through the brake system, ignition, engine, etc. unable to find the mechanical failure. Then the software engineer turns to the two others and says "Well lets bring the car back up to the top of the hill and see if it happens again". :heh:

(This was really relevant because we were trying to debug a packet loss problem in our wireless networking code and I asked my boss to run his test again to see if the same failure occurred)

Just learned the following random bit of trivia.

There is a Japanese kickboxing champion named Yuichiro Nagashima who cosplays as female anime characters, does a little song/dance routine for his entrance, then gets in the ring in full costume. I'm not making this up.
