Post by Roots » Mon Jan 16, 2006 12:17 am

The thread is simple. Post stuff that makes people laugh here. If you post something and I don't laugh after seeing/reading it, you will be BANISHED from these forums for the rest of your life!!!

To start off I would like to introduce: anitcheese.

Likewise, if you post something and I don't laugh, you are banished from the forums. And since I didn't laugh at AppleBlah, you know what that means... :heh:

The Ten Commandments for C Programmers

Post by gorzuate » Fri Jan 20, 2006 5:45 pm

Whilst I was perusing the World Wide Web in my search for friendly behavior between aclocal.m4 and various versions of automake, I came across the following aggregation of 1s and 0s and thought that any programmers out there would enjoy reading it as much as I did.

Seen it happen dude.  I used to work for a grocery store, and one day a guy came in real early looking for some coffee.  Our parking lot is pretty small, because it is a small community and everyone knows each other.  So this guy gets to talking, and he has parked his truck in the back of the lot.  Well, he forgot to put his parking brake up, or leave the thing in gear, and it rolled back into the ditch in the woods.

That was pretty funny.

This is a cool video, I know I've shown it to at least some people before, and I rediscovered it tonight. For some reason I'm having one of those "search the internet for random interesting video" nights. :heh:

Kids lipsynching to various songs in an "internet idol" competition. Maybe it's just getting too late for me now and I'm finding everything hilarious.

OMG, I feel so bad for this kid. His dad must be a dick. It would be more funny if he did it to his wife or someone a little older, but it's still amusing.

That's scary, being the same pitch and everything. It's like going into a toy shop and setting off all the dolls that produce noise! wouldn't like to be around when they all start crying tho.

May be slightly nsfw

Here's a nice dichotomy of Flash™.
As exhibit A, we have one of the spawn of arfenhouse. God help us all:

As exhibit B, we have a collection of some of the best and most professional flash animations I've seen to date - I highly suggest watching the short titled "Littlefoot" :
