A Ghost!

Postby Loodwig » Tue Oct 16, 2012 5:13 am

Super long time, no see for most of you (6+ years), and I had more or less forgotten about this project until I started working on a small weekend task of my own.

http://loodwig.org/cstore

I basically set out to create a simple game in javascript in one weekend (without missing sleep), and I found that I had more fun than the alternative (Borderlands 2, etc). This got me to thinking about everyone / everything here, so I stopped by to see a thin layer of dust on all the forum posts (sad face).

Well, the last time I contributed anything was more than half a decade ago, and back then I barely knew how to code in C and my composition studio was a little lack luster. More recently, I did this, and that was before pumping an additional 3k into software samples.

So if anyone is still out there, still alive, or even remembers me, give me a shout. As a full time software developer, I don't have the loads of time I had back when I was a web design contractor. However, I'd like to throw a few tunes or lines of code your guys' way, if you would want me.

Either way, hello, and I'm very happy to see you all alive and well regardless.

Hi Loodwig, :)

I know a lot of water is starting to flow between the ruins of the allacrost temple, even if the mighty dwarf team that was here could fix that in no time, but anyway, if you want to see the Hero Of Allacrost engine reused, drop by here:

and why not try to get the code and try it:

I might remind you something ;)

Best regards,

Bertram

Hi again,

I just listened to return to war and it's pretty excellent!

If you're ok to release part of your music with an open license and if you want to be known as an open audio maker, may I talk about open game art, where you could host some of your pieces and maybe see them used in different games?

Hey Loodwig, I still remember you. Glad to hear that you are doing well. Yes, sadly things with Allacrost have been at pretty much a stand still for over a year now. I am just now catching up on all the forum posts that I've missed as I've been absent about that amount of time.

I'm planning to help Bertram with his project for the time being. He's done a lot of great work on the Allacrost code that we can easily backport here. Allacrost will get rolling again sometime, but for now I think it makes more sense for me to contribute to Valyria than here, as work done on one can easily be used on another. And Valyria has more momentum and resources right now than Allacrost does.
