Need help with applying IRC nickname

I use firefox with windows, tried but not success for registering my own nick name, does anyone could tell me how do I register my nickname? May be post the solution on our wiki could help more people. :help:

1. Get on to the network using your default nick
2. type "/msg nickserv register <your-password>"
3. type "/msg nickserv set hide email on", to make your email private (you can skip this)
4. type "/msg nickserv set email <your-email-address>", you can skip this as well, it is needed if you want to retrieve your password

So in short it would be:

Code: Select all

/nick MyNickName
/msg nickserv resister abcde
/msg nickserv set hide email on
/msg nickserv set email sendmypasswordhere@soicanretrieveit.net


The next time when you log in you have to verify that you are that person

Code: Select all

/nick MyNickName
/msg nickserv identify abcde


It's prety straight forward.
