Just found it by chance today. What an awesome looking isometric RTS . I hope that it plays well, although I doubt that they will release a Linux version.

Whoa that looks very nice! It looks somewhat like Starcraft (I never played it that much but still...) except a bit smoother :)

And Roots, there's always Wine and Cedega :hack:

Wow that game looks like it'll be ADDICTIVE!

I'm dl'ing and saving those images to my comp!

It doesn't look isometric to me, it looks 3d!  The shadows say so.  Isometric games are 2d and superb, mobile lighting/shading like that is difficult to code isn't it?

I always have problems with wine, no matter what I do I can't get games like civ 3 to work, or anything else like that.

Wow!

Great lighting effects.

I'm almost positive that's not 3D (or maybe it's partially 3D), as I got the link from an isometric forum.

I've gotten wine to work successfully with Starcraft + Broodwar, and C&C Gold is working too (although for some reason I can't get any sound, although I initially had that problem with SC and somehow fixed it).

It says 2d engine with 3d effects.  Man if the lighting is 100% right on in a 2d engine I am impressed, and man I would love to have that in my 2d game if I get to make one.

It looks like 2D prerendered backgrounds, with 3D units to me.

I just read somewhere on their forums that they've been working on this game for nine years. That's crazy! That's as long as Duke Nukem Forever has been in development. :eyespin:

I sure hope Allacrost doesn't take as long. :uhoh:
