Name! dun dun!

Postby ian » Sun Jul 03, 2005 5:10 am

Shouldn't there be a name to release under? Like video game studios have a company name? Or just Allacrost...studios...company..inc.

:) Well we've just been using "The Allacrost Project" as our name so far. I dunno. If after this game is completed and the team is up for creating another, then I guess we'll need to get a real name. :heh:

I never want to make a game with the purpose being making a profit. NEVER! Maybe we should not refer to ourselves as a company, but a 'group'? Or a non-profit organization... :heh:

How about: Open Games Group (OGG)? It's kinda catchy, not that long, and it conveys what you are. One problem I see with it though, is that the acronym is OGG (people could get confused between Open Games Group and OGG Vorbis).

Oh wait! How about: Non-profit Games (NG or NPG)? Catchy, short, and conveys what you are.

Software Programers Against Microsoft
Allacrost Production Company
Open Project Posse
Tetrahedron, Pentagon, Hexagon, Septagon, Octagon (well, that kinda looks like a stop sign, so it could be a cursed logo)

Or you could go with something completley random like:
Hammer games

Scissors Studio

Big wheel bicycle

Peroxide

Other things located on Lood's Desk.

Open Games Group is a good name, but it sounds too official. Like an organization or something instead of just people who make games. Not a bad suggestion though. I dunno. At this point in my life, I don't want to become the Richard Stallman of games or anything. :heh: Although that might not be so bad in the future ;)

I will quit Allacrost if we are given that name.  :p

GARRRR!!!

Wait a minute...

Thats it!

GARRRR!!! Entertainment!

Its so subliminally exceptional.

...What the hell are we talking about?

:heh:

...

Everyone knows GARR! Entertainment is minimally inferior when compared to DRRR! Entertainment.  Tyler, how about DRRR! Entertainment!??

No please not every german would jump out of the window if he hears this.
He was skillful enough
to have lived still,
if knowledge could be set
up against mortality.

Well if we're allowing foreign names, how about...

「ゲームを作る野郎共会」

or

「正義と自由を届く奴」

or even...

「これを読めないなら君は絶対馬鹿だつの」

I can "read" about half of the letters you posted - the rest are those boxes with 4 numbers in them that denote an unrecognized character. What font are they in?

Dunno what font, but it's Japanese. The ones you can probably see are the Chinese characters (Japanese uses Chinese characters as part of it's written language).
