I thought this post was best suited for User Feedback ("Tell us what you think about the game and suggest improvements") So I moved it here for you :)

I checked out the site and indeed it seems useful.....if you are planning on building a game with minimal programming experience and only for Windows machines. (Seriously, who writes games in BASIC? :twitch: ) And the other bad thing is that all of that software costs money, and since we aren't trying to generate any revenue for this game we don't want to have any expenses if we can help it. I will admit though that the sound package looks like it could be useful to us, but we'll have to wait and see if we can't find some free samples instead

We aren't using any 3D graphics and our programming team has enough knowledge, experience, and motivation to do anything we want, so I think we'll be ok. Though a couple of those packages gave me some ideas for new sub-projects to help game development, thanks! :hack:
