SaveMode

I'm planning to work on revamping SaveMode in the near future. Shouldn't be much change in functionality, other than adding some kind of confirmation box saying "your game was saved" or similar. But it would be nice to make the screen prettier and more informative. Here's a possible design...

Re: Some queries

Hi all, Some queries :- a. I found the 'f' to confirm a bit uncomfortable/insane but can live with it, hopefully somewhere in the future this could be user-definable. It is user-definable, it's in the options menu. b. I know this is a demo, but what are drunes? Are they like money/currency or somet...

Re: have some sort of feedback to user when s/he is doing a

Yeah of course. I'm not even sure if save game works right now to be honest. It worked with the last demo and hasn't been changed or anything, but I haven't tested it with the latest release. Really there's a ton of things I'd like to improve with the save system, but there are so many other things...

Re: License?

I'd just like to point out that this thread is over five years old and most of the issues discussed have already been resolved. All content in Allacrost is distributed under the GPL. We do look at OpenGameArt and other sources for some general-purpose pixel art, and everything we include from those ...

Re: June 2011 Development Release

I'll be around on Sunday, late afternoon/evening most likely. Also, you may remember Winter Knight's NSIS script to create a GUI installer for the Windows version. I've managed to find it and press it back into service. This will be a good release to test the Windows installer and see how it works f...

Re: Porting Hero of Allacrost to the Web Browser

Welcome to the forums, and thanks for your feedback. I can't speak for Roots or others on the team, but I'd say this is probably not something we're particularly interested in. Allacrost isn't intended to be a web application, nor is it a for-profit venture. The idea of a Facebook page related to Al...

Re: Prologue Release -- Battle Changes and Features

I dunno. From the party menu, it makes sense. In battle though, I've never seen skills/abilities tell me the target type right from the menu, instead you just click and see what ally/enemy/area the cursor points at. Or you press the help/info button, which I believe we now have implemented. I mean, ...

Re: Roots' Art Feedback Thread

I'm not sure if the top I created is "legal" in the sense that I made no modifications to the lighting/shading of the base when I flipped it and stuck it on top. It looks fine to me though? Forgot to respond to this. The problem here is that the perspective is wrong when you stick it at t...

<Roots> rujasu, what did you think about this: http://www.allacrost.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=31217#p31217 Any objections? <rujasu> I don't like the idea of sounds for cursor movement.
