Re: Demo Story

Here is the latest draft. I addressed all the issues we discussed (after a second reading I decided the opening scene is fine). I think it's pretty close to being done, but everyone should read it first. As I said, I'll be in the Philippines, but I'll have my computer and internet access, so if any ...

Re: Demo Story

When you guys said we were cutting the town I assumed we were also cutting civilians. My understanding was that this is a military outpost populated exclusively with soldiers. So I guess a little clarification is in order. If there are civilians, will there also be houses or are they wandering aroun...

Re: Demo Story

Much obliged. So I downloaded it. It works - kind of. It keeps crashing randomly, so I haven't been able to finish it yet, and since it won't let me save I keep having to start over :heh: That said, thank you! It's such a help to be able to see it. Makes me want to get to work! ...Okay! I played all...

Re: Demo Story

Yeah, I'm on Windows. Damn. That would've been helpful. Oh well.

I'll update what I hope to be the final script and upload it later.

NPC dialogue is next.

Re: Demo Story

1. No problem. The only reason I changed it is because Rujasu said we were cutting the town from the demo, so I assumed I had to scale things back to be exclusively around the outpost. 2. Good point. I'll get on that. 3. I had thought about that, but wanted to wait and see if anyone said anything. F...

Re: Demo Story

Here's an updated script for the demo. I modified some of the dialogue and cleaned up the writing. Let me know what you think. Allacrost Demo FADE IN: EXT. OUTPOST – DAY Claudius and Kyle are leaning against an outpost overlooking the terrain. KYLE You know the only reason I’m doing this is because ...

Re: Demo Story

All right, I have a revised and cleaned up version of the script to fit the smaller scale of the demo. I'll post it soon, once I've read it a few more times. the NPC dialogue is coming right along - each NPC will have at least two different things to say, as well as Claudius.

Re: Kyle

I wrote Kyle to be someone much more outside of the system than Claudius. Therefore it has always been my image that he would be less skilled than Claudius (because he doesn't practice or study as much) but more naturally gifted. I'm not sure how this would translate to in game design or features th...
